1. Who we are

This website is operated by MIE Skincare ("we", "us", "our"), a trading name of Elan Cosmetics Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 17140249, VAT number GB 518 9151 75), registered office: 469 Kingsway, Manchester, M19 1NR. You can reach us at hello@mieskincare.com.

"MIE" and "Instant Effects" are our trade marks, acquired with the brand in March 2026. Instant Effects was the brand's earlier name and still appears on some older packaging and documentation.

2. Placing an order

Adding an item to your bag is not an offer to buy. Your order becomes a contract only when we send you an order confirmation email. If we cannot fulfil an order — because an item has sold out, a price was wrong, or we cannot deliver to your address — we will tell you and refund you in full.

We may limit quantities per customer where stock is short, and we may refuse an order where we reasonably suspect fraud.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling and include UK VAT at 20%. Delivery is charged separately and shown before you pay: £3.95 for UK tracked delivery, free on orders of £40.00 or more.

Card payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered in a secure form hosted by Stripe and embedded in our checkout page — they go straight to Stripe, and we never see or store them. Prices can change at any time, but never after we have confirmed your order.

If a price is obviously wrong through a technical error, we are not obliged to sell at that price. We will contact you before doing anything.

4. Delivery

We currently deliver within the United Kingdom only. Delivery times given on the delivery page are estimates, not guarantees. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

5. Cancellation, returns and refunds

Our returns policy forms part of these terms and goes beyond your statutory rights. Nothing here reduces your rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 or the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

6. Product information and claims

Every performance claim on this site comes from an independent clinical trial against a placebo. Figures are averages across trial participants and your own results will differ. Where a claim reflects participant opinion rather than an instrument measurement, we say so.

Our products are cosmetics, not medicines. They are not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. If you have a skin condition, are pregnant, or have a known allergy, check with a healthcare professional and ask us for the full ingredient list before you buy.

Patch test before first use. Discontinue use and contact us if you have a reaction.

7. Our liability

We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

8. Website content

All text, images, product photography and design on this site belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy or reuse them commercially without written permission.

We try to keep the site accurate and available, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error free.

9. Privacy

How we handle your data is set out in our privacy notice.

10. Complaints and governing law

If something has gone wrong, email hello@mieskincare.com and a person will reply. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction — though if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings there.
