How the testing works
Against a placebo, or it does not count.
A trial without a placebo arm tells you almost nothing — skin improves just from being moisturised and looked at. Every MIE study runs the real formula against an identical base with the actives removed, so the number you see is what the actives did, not what the cream did.
Measurements are instrument-based where they can be — corneometry for hydration, cutometry for firmness, profilometry for wrinkle depth and width — with volunteer self-assessment reported separately and labelled as such.
Where a claim is a volunteer opinion rather than an instrument reading, we say so. "100% agreed lips looked fuller" is people; "+49% hydration" is a machine.
The oxygen platform
What OX2 actually is.
Several MIE products are built on what the packaging calls OX2 Pro. In plain terms it is a group of perfluorocarbons that can carry dissolved oxygen and release it into the skin — the same class of molecule used to carry oxygen in medicine.
It appears in the eye serums, the lash and brow serum, the lip plumper, the bubbling mask and the deep line elixir. Alongside it sits argan kernel extract, which is what produces the visible tightening within minutes.
We are telling you this because "patented oxygen technology" on its own is not an explanation, and you should be able to look it up.
