Privacy notice

The short version: we collect what we need to send you your order and answer your questions, we do not sell your data to anyone, and we do not run advertising trackers on this site.
Who is responsible
MIE Skincare is a trading name of Elan Cosmetics Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 17140249), registered office: 469 Kingsway, Manchester, M19 1NR. Elan Cosmetics Ltd is the data controller. Email hello@mieskincare.com for anything on this page.
What we collect and why

We never see your card number. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe.
Who we share it with
Only the suppliers we need to run the shop:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Royal Mail — delivery, and tracking notifications
- 20i — UK web hosting and email
- Brevo — sending marketing emails, if you have opted in
- Our accountants, and HMRC where the law requires it
We do not sell, rent or trade your details. Where a supplier processes data outside the UK or EEA, it is covered by an adequacy decision or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. We use your browser's local storage to remember what is in your bag, and a short-lived cookie during checkout. Both are strictly necessary, so no consent banner is required. If we ever add analytics we will ask first.
Marketing emails
You only get marketing email if you asked for it, either by joining the list or by ticking the box at checkout. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe, and we act on it immediately. Order confirmations and dispatch notices are not marketing and will still be sent.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to have it sent to another provider. Email us and we will respond within one month. We may need to keep order records for tax purposes even after a deletion request, in which case we will tell you exactly what we are keeping and why.
If you are not happy with how we have handled it you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Children
This shop is not intended for under-16s and we do not knowingly collect their data.
